GOP Rigged Supreme Court Sides with Billionaires against Working People

Unions and Community Organizations Vow To Remain United

In response to today’s Supreme Court decision in Janus v. AFSCME, Dorian Warren, vice president of the Center for Community Change issued the following statement:

“This decision is yet another example of how billionaires rig the system against working people–white, black and brown–but we won’t let the extremists behind this case divide us. When working people are united in a union, they have the power in numbers to raise wages, secure basic needs such as healthcare coverage, improve their jobs, make life better for their families and build stronger communities.

“Community Change and our grassroots partners in every corner of the United States are more determined than ever to stick together with working families to improve their jobs, educate their communities on the importance of voting, and fighting for immigrant, racial and environmental justice.  Moreover, we will not waiver in uniting more people who work so we can turn poverty-wage jobs into good-paying, union jobs, continue the Fight for $15 and strengthen unions.”
