Raising America's Pay

On June 4, the Economic Policy Institute launched “Raising America’s Pay,” a research and public education initiative that seeks to make wage growth an urgent priority. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez delivered the keynote address and Mary Lassen, the Center’s Managing Director, was one of the panelists.

Lassen said we need an organized push to put these issues front and center and it has to come from a coalition of local partners to best think “creatively’ about how to organize low-wage workers fight for better-paying jobs.
